Release Day post and Review: Moonshot by Alessandra Torre

Synopsis:
Moonshot_FrontCover_Final_LoRes
Baseball isn’t supposed to be a game of life and death…

The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase … he started out as a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a god and partied like a devil.

I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.

And everything in my world broke apart.

Moonshot Thunderclap
REVIEW
SPOILERS!!!!!
Main characters:
Tyler “Ty” Rollins
Chase Stern

What I Liked: Ms Torre is one of the authors who writes the best relationships. You can actually see them when you read, I love that! She creates flawed people who make bad decisions, some more then others(Ty I’m talking about you!), but at the same time you can mostly understand why they do it. You won’t agree with them, but you can see why they did or said what they did.
Ty is very young, she’s a bit reckless and I think she sees everything in black and white, at least in the 1st part of the book. In the 2nd one, she has grown up… she’s still a bit reckless, but she at least tries to see all parts of the problem. Both her and Chase are passionate: about each other and about the game. You can see that in every scene they’re in.
It was an angsty, full of drama, passionate, book. I loved reading it.

What I didn't like: I didn’t like the cheating. Everything else rocked!

Favorite character: I liked both Ty and Chase. They each had something that made you like them.

My least favorite character: I don’t think there is any, besides Dick(the GM) and he wasn’t even in many scenes.

Favorite scene: I think the one I liked most was when they first met. It was just so funny and awkward but you could still see that it will be an amazing journey.

Favorite quote:
Certain loves can’t be fought. The harder you tried, the harder you would be knocked back, over and over again, until it beat you into submission, until your heart caved and body surrendered. Love like that didn’t know the rules of society; it didn’t care about life mistakes. It only knew what must be, and what would happen—no matter what.

Would I recommend the book: Totally! Alessandra writes books that you can’t forget and that you’ll talk about even after months have passed.

Final rating:
